We had an amazing fishing trip with Captain John! Right from the start, he showed true professionalism and a strong understanding of the lake. He made the entire group feel comfortable, whether we’d fished before or it was our first time holding a rod. He’s easy to talk to and kept the day fun with great conversation. It honestly felt like we were fishing with a longtime friend. And yes, we caught plenty of fish — but what made it special was how relaxed and enjoyable the whole experience was. We’ll definitely be booking with Captain John again. Highly recommended!

We had a great morning on the water with Captain John. We booked a 4-hour trip for five adults, and it was clear right away that he knows this lake inside and out. Everyone got to reel in a solid Striper, with the biggest measuring 33 inches and several more in the high 20s. We’ve fished before but wouldn’t call ourselves experts, so Captain John showed plenty of patience and helped us every step of the way. If we had a little more skill, we probably would’ve put even more fish in the boat! He cleaned and filleted our catch, and we ended up with an amazing fish dinner that fed all 15 people in our group. We’d book with Captain John again in a heartbeat the next time we’re in the area.

We targeted bigger Stripers using downriggers, and even though the fish weren’t very cooperative, Captain John stayed focused and worked hard for a full five hours tracking them down. We still came home with three solid bass and had a good time on the water. Great captain — we’ll definitely book again!
